 Lifebread Sewing School in Pakistan
Going strong
 .

The International President, Steve Marshall and the Vice President, Peter West, were impressed with the Sewing School project of Lifebread in Pakistan.

They recently saw first hand all the work that the trainees are doing to learn the sewing skills.

The school needs more sewing machines because of the demand for skill training.

Testimony of Kevin Solomons - new member of Lifebread International

Hello there. My name is Kevin Solomons. In 1994 I came to the lord and was born again. At the beginning, I didn’t know much about how to walk in the way of the Lord. It has been a long and difficult walk in Christ, but the Lord didn’t leave me nor forsake me. I am so glad that someone came to me and talked about Jesus. Even though I knew Jesus in my catholic religion, but this was different from my religious believing in Jesus. I have come to know the true Jesus. He is my Lord and my saviour. The truth has set me free. I have learnt a lot and the Lord has taught me so much. His word is true and faithful. If I haven’t come to the Lord, probably I would be heading straight to hell. As Heaven is real hell is real. Today I am saved because one man didn’t give up on me. He came after me so many times until I have received Jesus Christ. I had an extraordinary experience after I got baptised. The pastor asked the church to stand up to pray for those who got baptised. When he prayed and finished, I felt in my body a strongly kind of burning thing went through my body. As soon after that, I felt like and electrical power went through my body. It was so strange to me at that moment. After church finished, I was on my own near the street and I felt something heavy left from my shoulder (it was fear) and I remembered when I was 12 years old, I was scared to die and the fear of death left me the day I was baptised. Today my heart is to serve the Lord at any cost as my life has been saved and changed. I want to do the same to others, preaching the gospel as our Lord Jesus has commanded us. Mathew 28:19, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:47 and Proverbs 11:30 (He who saves souls is wise), and I want to take this good news to Sri Lanka. In this life giving bread ministry, we are committed to work as a team. Our goal is to lead the lost souls to Jesus Christ and planting churches at the same time helping the orphan children. They are brought up by the church and they are growing in the Lords word and following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. We ask you to join with us to bring a change in people’s life (The Bread Of Eternal Life). We haven’t got much time. The Lord is coming soon. Let us make his path straight for his coming. May the Lord God Bless You.
Yours Sincerely, Kevin Solomons

The Power of Prayer

On 1st February, 2004 I suffered a catastrophic brain stem stroke. After fourteen and half hours of waiting at the hospital my condition was finally managed by intra-arterial urokinase. The MRI’s revealed upper brain stem pontine infarction, complicated by haemorrhage. It made me severely disabled requiring tracheostomy and enteral feeding. I had a very significant quadriparesis worse on the left than on the right and significant cranial nerve palsies.

Never in my lifetime of 52 years was I ever admitted in the hospital.

My hospital stay was some five months with three months in the Intensive Care Unit and a month at the Rehabilitation Hospital

How did I come out of this?
I am living today purely through God’s mercy and healing.
The director of neurology at the hospital has stated in her letter “Most patients – 95% of this type of stroke die, the remaining 5% have significant morbidity.”

Receiving healing in my body is just a secondary issue. The primary issue is (and with 100% conviction), that there is God, God is real, and He hears our prayers!! There were thousands who were interceding for me and The Almighty God heard their cry, blessed their faith and answered their prayers. That’s why I am still living today!

Are you Ready?

All the time I was lying in hospital bed totally unconscious, I had no idea what the people were doing outside. They were tirelessly exercising their faith by crying out to the Lord with positiveness.

The awakening call for me was the scripture in Heb. 9:27
“And it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgement.” The two appointments death and the judgement cannot be cancelled. The vital question “Are you ready?”

In Matt.16:25
It says “If you try to keep your life to yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life.”

In Luke 10:27
It says “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind.” What it means that all of us must have a SERIOUS relationship with God, always.

John 14 1:3
This verse for me has become very real to me as I was blessed to see a glimpse of heaven whilst I was in Life Support Machine.
On the fifth day at the last hour I opened my eyes and my wife and my sisters and relatives were jumping for joy that nearly shook the hospital staff.

In the verse, it says that Jesus is the way to the Father. Jesus says to his disciples “Don’t be worried or upset. Believe in God and believe also in me. There are many rooms in my Father’s house and I am going to prepare a place for you. I would not tell you if it were not so. And after I go prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to myself so that you will be where I am.”
This is the Christian Faith and our Hope. I would love to tell my fellow brothers and sisters that this is for real.

It is our desire to reach the ultimate destination and to reach there, there is no other way but what Jesus says in John 14: 6
“I am the way the truth and the life, no one goes to the father accept my me”
Therefore it is imperative that one accepts Jesus as their personal Saviour.
I also learnt from this incident about Suffering and Purpose.

Suffering & Purpose:

Let’s view suffering as an opportunity to demonstrate God’s power and bring glory to him. He will answer our prayers by healing us. Perhaps he will use suffering of someone we love to make us more compassionate, kinder and more helpful. He wants us to be a vibrant testimony to his glory.

The Holy Bible Says:
God has many good reasons for letting us suffer:

The following Scripture will give you more light on this subject:
Suffering silences Satan (Job 1-2)
Suffering gives God an opportunity to be glorified (Jn. 11:4)
Suffering makes us more like Christ (Phil.3:10)
Suffering makes us appreciative (Rom 8:28)
Suffering teaches us to depend on God (Is 40: 28-31)
Suffering enables us to exercise our faith (Job 23:10)
Suffering teaches us patience (Rom 5:3)
Suffering makes us sympathetic 92 Cor. 1:3-6)
Suffering makes and keeps us humble (2 Cor. 12:  7-10)
Suffering brings rewards (1Pet 4: 12-13)

One may think that I must have lost all hope in life. But I tell you, Life has become more meaningful to me, the family more precious, I am much happier, and my worship and the relationship with God is much more sweeter. I am proud to be a living testimony for my Jesus who has given me a new lease of life and has lifted me to greater heights that words cannot describe.

I cannot imagine where my destiny would have lied if Jesus was missing in my life and the loved ones around me.

My plea to those who do not know Jesus, please do not procrastinate and there is no cost to you. He is the living God, The Saviour, The Healer and He has said “He’ll be Back Soon to take us where He is”

God Bless You

PS  "I perhaps know my brother, Rev Raymond Moti, much better than anyone else.  I was there when he declined into the pits of the world and I was there when God took him out of the mirey clay, changed him and transformed him to be a mighty man of the Almighty God.  When I was down, he was amongst those who prayed for me.  He is a man of strong faith and in his preaching of the word, he does not compromise and calls a spade a spade."

Do You Love the Lord Your God?

Lawyers are trained to ask pertinent questions. The questions they ask are relevant to the point they want to make and sometimes to trap those who they are questioning.  One such lawyer asked the Lord Jesus Christ a question.  We see this in the 22nd chapter of  the Book of Matthew in verses 34 to 38. Here the lawyer, said to be an expert, tried to test Jesus by asking Him "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"   Jesus responded:"Love the Lord your God with all your with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your hearts."   Jesus said this is the first and the greatest commandment. And the second is to love your neighbour as yourself.  The Lord said all the Law and the Prophets hang ont these two commandments.  The question for us is do we love the Lord with all our hearts, soul and mind?  Or are we selfish and just want the blessings but do not obey His commandments.  The Lord says if you love me, you will obey my commandments. Let us examine ourselves and see how much we love our God, our Maker , Our Creator.  He created us for His purpose and for His glory but we have become selfish. We want God to do what we want and not what He wants.  If we love God with all our hearts, minds and soul we will let God whatever He wants with us.  We will obey Him and wait on Him. The Holy Bible says "Obedience is better than sacrifice".  If we obey the first and the second of the greatest commandments we continue to live in a life of victory in Christ Jesus.

The "Spirit man vs the Flesh man"

Romans 8: 14 says "For as many are led by the Spirit are Sons of God".  There is a real conflict taking place in the world between "flesh man" and the "Spirit man".  The "Spirit man" is one who is filled with the Holy Spirit because of one being saved by Christ Jesus and had a real experience of the new birth in Christ Jesus.  The Spirit man will do everything asked of him by the Lord's commandments.  His only source will be God the Father who through His Son Jesus by the work and power of the Holy Spirit will be his channel of knowledge, wisdom, power, strength, peace, joy and victory.  The "Spirit man" will not lean on his own understanding but depend and trust on God at all times.  The "flesh man" will reject Christ Jesus.  The "flesh man" will not obey the commandments of God.  The flesh man will not obey the ten commandments as in Exodus chapter 20.

Romans 8:9 says "however you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. If any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him."

The "Spirit man" is the recepient of Christ's power by the Holy Spirit  through which he can minister to others.

I choose Christ before man.  Whom will you choose.   Joshua said "As for me and my family, we will serve the Lord."

I too choose to serve the Lord.

God Bless You

Message from the International Director

In John 14:6 and 7:

Lord Jesus says "I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you really knew Me, you would know my Father as well.

In other words, there is no other way to God.  Lord Jesus Christ is the only way.   Many have come and many claim to be God but there is only one who paid the price through His life and Blood to free us from the bondage of sin.  Jesus has reconciled those who believe in Him to the Father and has empowered them with His Holy Spirit.   We are now dead to sin and alive in Christ Jesus.  It is no longer our old man of the flesh who lives in us but Christ Jesus by His Spirit which dwells in us.

We have access to the same power and the Holy Spirit which resurrected Christ Jesus from His grave and now we can do all things in Christ Jesus who strengthens us. (Philippians 4:13)

Those who believe in the Risen Christ are saved from condemnation at the time of judgement when Christ returns but as explained in Philippians 2 verse 12  we need "to continue to work out your (our) salvation with fear and trembling".   The next verse says "for it is God who works in you to will and according to His good purpose".   May the Lord bless you all.
